1. Product Overview
IC660ELB921M is a legacy ISA bus PCIM gateway card for GE Fanuc Genius distributed I/O systems. It installs into industrial PC ISA slots to act as a master controller for Genius serial fieldbus, enabling Windows/DOS industrial computers to read/write remote Genius I/O racks. Limited to one Genius bus segment (max 30 field modules), it differs from dual-channel IC660ELB922. An optional ELB912 daughterboard adds Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol conversion to connect third-party SCADA/HMI. Onboard LEDs and PCIM configuration software provide full network diagnostics for cable faults, lost nodes and communication errors. Conformal coated PCB supports wide temperature industrial cabinet environments, widely used in retrofitting old power plant and chemical DCS systems. GE discontinued original new production, only refurbished and surplus spare parts available aftermarket.
